KAPA HAKA POSITIONS AVAILABLE

We have 10 positions available to join Hukawai Lodge’s Kapa Haka group ‘Ka Roimata o Hine Hukatere,’ for five men and five women from November 20 to February 28.

REQUIREMENTS

You should have:

• recent kapa haka performance experience
• be comfortable performing for an audience
• experience with short and long poi (men and women)
• experience with haka (men and women)
• experience with taiaha
• experience with long sticks (men and women)

Preference will be given to guitar players who also perform

You should know all the standards.

KAPA HAKA PERFORMANCES

Performances:

• 90 minutes every night
• begin with a mini powhiri
• include audience participation

Post performance:

• meet and greet
• supper

PAID JOBS

• Mulitple-role positions in cleaning, kitchen, waiting service, housekeeping, gardening work available.
• Roster
• Group accommodation provided in Whataroa (paye taxed)
• Group food provided (paye taxed)
