At Hukawai Lodge we offer a High Tea (12pm – 5pm) and Dessert (7 – 9pm). Self-serve continental breakfast extra. Bookings essential $35pp.

Hukawai Lodge Bar will open in February 2017. It is set to showcase award winning New Zealand sparkling wines, pinot noir and white wines. The drinks menu has the largest selection of Champagne, cognacs, whiskeys and cigars on the West Coast.

INCLUDES: Hukawai granola, scones, fresh bread, mini pancake stack, mini corn fritter stack, muffins, yoghurt, pastries, freshly squeezed juice, chilled water fresh from the glacier surrounds and iced Hukawai Tea. It includes NZ made cheeses and meats from various NZ Companies and fresh fruits (100% NZ grown). We add fresh imported fruits to provide range. Smoothie menu includes superfoods, seeds, nuts etc. Also pre packaged juices, fruits and breads.
Gluten free and vegan options available. Please negotiate your dietary requirements at any time before you arrive to your pre paid stay.

LUNCH

We can also have for sale a LUNCH BOX (for one) for your continued travel around NZ or a LUNCH HAMPER (for two) if you’re staying at Hukawai Lodge for more than one night and exploring the area.

Available from February 1, 2017. All sandwiches, scones and mini cakes are made fresh in our kitchen.

TEA CONCIERGE SERVICE
Hukawai Signature Teas blended on site, are Hukawai Blend (White Tea), Ti Maori (Manuka and Kawakawa Black Tea), to memorialise the deep environmental knowledge Maori possessed long before Cook arrived and West Coast Mix (Herbal Tea), a tea blending herbs common in farm pastures.
Forage & Bloom teas – highly recommended. There are tester pots to smell. If none of these options are your ‘cup of tea’ we have Twinings. Forage & Bloom tea’s are available for sale.

AWARD WINNING COFFEE
We also highlight award winning coffees blended in NZ by NZ companies. We serve Avalanche’s (2011 Overall Supreme NZ Coffee Winner) ‘Franz Josef’ coffee in a plunger with High Tea. The usual coffees are also available with two of last years gold medal winners of the NZ coffee awards.

SPARKLING WINE
Once we have our liquor license, for an additional cost High Tea can be served with a glass of NZ sparkling rose or white. These have been selected for their ability to easily match a NV Champagne. Champagne is also available.

DESSERT MENU

The desserts are made in our kitchen and are on display in the chilled dessert cabinet situated in the dining room.

Once our bar is open, NZ wines are available. As is champagne, cognac, whiskey, cigars etc. Because we are a small dining room, on any given day, once the dessert cakes are finished, dessert is no longer served.
